Sugarland Tickets - New Album

Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush have been heavily promoting their upcoming album The Incredible Machine, which is due out on Oct. 19. Recently Nettles, who is the lead singer for the group, gave an interview with Sound Spike about the new effort and the excitement the duo draws from their live performances. She admits in the interview that the band took on a few risks with The Incredible Machine, most notably the fact that they wanted the record to be authentic. She said, "We really allowed ourselves to write what we wanted and to write from parts of ourselves that, while are still authentically us, are authentic in new ways that people might not have seen before."

You can check out the entire interview at Sound Spike and if you want to see Sugarland "from the heart," be sure to purchase a pair of Sugarland tickets from StubHub as soon as possible.

In early September Sugarland also stopped by Rockefeller Plaza for a performance on NBC's Today Show. The duo selected three songs to play for the elated fans who had gathered outside of the studios for the concert. Those in attendance heard some rockin' tunes courtesy of Sugarland, including "All I Want to Do," "Stuck Like Glue" and "Waiting All Day For Sunday Night." According to the AOL Music Blog, Nettles also gave fans a heads up on which team the group will be rooting for this NFL season when she exclaimed, "We're [Atlanta] Falcons fans!"

It is perhaps a given that Nettles and Bush will be rooting on the Falcons, as it is their home team. The members of Sugarland (which originally started as a trio with Kristen Hall) all hail from the Atlanta area and first joined together in 2002, with their hearts set on making music. Thanks to their energetic live performances, Sugarland quickly gained a following of devotees in the Atlanta area and subsequently signed with Mercury Records in 2004. Their multi-platinum debut album Twice the Speed of Life arrived later that same year.

Sugarland quickly followed their first effort with their sophomore release, Enjoy the Ride, which appeared on shelves in 2006. This time Sugarland managed to attract attention in both the pop and country music genres, massively expanding their fan base. It was also at this time that Sugarland officially became a duo, consisting of just Nettles and Bush, after Hall decided to leave the lineup.

Despite the fact that they were now short a member, Sugarland continued to remain popular and 2008's Love on the Inside proved that their determination had paid off. The following year they enjoyed the success of the album, as well as a primetime network special of the same name, several Grammy Awards and a Christmas album. There was no doubt about it: Sugarland was on top of their game. Perhaps this is why their fourth studio effort has already generated so much hype, even before it hits the stores. See Nettles and Bush perform live at one of their many upcoming shows.
